In Start Strong’s Analysis of Budget 2016 we welcome significant steps made in the development of early care and education in Ireland. The additional funding of €85 million announced will push investment in Ireland’s pre-school services provision to 0.17% of GDP in 2016 – but this is still way below the OECD average of 0.8%.
