Story Idea: Women forced out of labour market due to high cost of ‘childcare’ – International Women’s Day- March 8th

The Hook: Parents in Ireland pay some of the highest costs in the world for ‘childcare’. It forces many into not being able to afford to work, particularly when they have 2 or more children. It’s usually mothers who make the ‘choice’ to stay at home but no parent should have to make a decision whether they can afford to go to work or not.
