Story Idea: Ireland has a long history of helping people in need
Expert: Dr Bozena Cierlik (Expert in Foreign Affairs and Politics) Lecturer in the School of History, University College Cork.                        
The Hook: Should Ireland do more in the current humanitarian crisis? Ireland has a long history of help people in need. The best example was after WWII when Irish universities took a number of Poles who served in British Army during the war and could not return to communist Poland. UCC set up a special scheme to help them as Prof O’Rahilly said “if we don’t help them neither Americans nor British do anything for them”.
